It is then printed with a wooden block with the greatest respect for Indian craftsmanship. Blockprinting, or woodblock printing, is an ancestral skill from Rajasthan in western India. It consists of manually printing the fabric using hand-carved wooden stamps. The block printing technique using natural dyes is called Bagru, named after the village where it originated.
