This indigo cotton napkin, made with a natural indigo dye, is designed in Paris and then hand-printed by expert artisans in India with the greatest respect for Indian craftsmanship. Blockprinting, or woodblock printing, is an ancestral skill from Rajasthan in western India. It involves hand-printing the fabric using hand-carved wooden stamps. The pad printing technique using natural dyes is called Bagru, the name of the village where it originates. Our napkins are handcrafted by artisans; the small imperfections that may appear on our printed fabrics attest to the fruit of careful manual craftsmanship. Each cotton napkin is unique in its feel and irregularities. Environmentally friendly, our indigo blue napkin will delight you with its pretty ecru floral pattern, which will give an elegant and colorful ambiance to your dining room decor. It will be the perfect accessory for a bohemian chic table. The color of naturally dyed pieces fades and changes over time. Please protect this fabric from prolonged exposure to sunlight. The fabric also has a tendency to bleed - this is a natural characteristic of this environmentally friendly technique. Please take the necessary precautions when washing.
